Dr. Castle is an advisor for SAS Institute and assists U.S. public sector agencies with understanding data analytics, cloud-based environments, development operations (DevOps), and open source software (OSS). In his U.S. federal career, he worked at the General Services Administration and the White House, created and led a digital service team, and directed the federal government's Open Source Program Office (OSPO) aka Code.gov. He is an OSS developer, advocate, and researcher, and speaks frequently about all three.
